Well I've been away again. Unfortunately not for any good things. My mother died on September 27, so I had to go out to San Francisco for the funeral and the only computer I took was my iPad which sucks for any real use as a computer. Not sure how it is supposed to replace a laptop or a desktop but it makes a good eReader and I was able to surf the

San Francisco is a great place to visit. Too expensive to live there though and driving? Well that's insanity. I'd love to visit your neck of the woods myself. I never got to the Scandinavian countries when I lived in Europe and I always wanted to go. Ah well, someday I hope.

The iPad. I was really cursing it, but I didn't want the weight of a laptop. So, I took it and well I wasn't all that interested in doing a lot online anyways. I'm used to being uberconnected as it were so not having that was a touch odd for me. But the good thing was I had a boatload of books stored on it so I read a good bit.

As for Mom, I have to believe she is in a better place. I do believe in the after life. Not sure if it's sitting on clouds in a toga playing a harp like thing, but I do believe there is an after life and she is meeting up with Da, my sister, her siblings, parents and departed friends and the party is ongoing.
