Adventures in turkey murder

So back in October, I decided to order a Thanksgiving turkey from one of the farmers at the little farmers market near my house. There's one vendor, Valerie, whose produce I buy frequently, and who is always really nice and remembers my name and what I do for a living, and always has a few minutes to chat. Yep. Oh, here's one other disturbing thing-- the woman with the baby was cleaning out a turkey at one point, and the freshly-killed carcass was still having muscle spasms (even without being attached to a brain anymore.) So she had her hand deep inside trying to separate the organs from the walls, and the muscles would twitch. She seemed pretty sanguine about the whole butchering business, but even she was disturbed by that.
