Wow, do you hate Sheppard? I Found Rodney and his reaction totally out of character to think John would ever be capable of such a thing.

I guess my issue is why Rodney would jump to such a conclusion. Canon wise...John 'joined' with Chya..that doesn't count as sex. He did sleep with Teer after thinking he'd never get back to Atlantis after six months. I highly doubt he slept with the girl from the “Tower” when he found out that she wanted him to get her pregnant. And Larrin kissed him.

Rodney's had established relationships with Katie and Keller. Technically, he's slept with more people.

Wanted you to let you know I found my reaction to you fic a bit harsh and wanted to apologize, but I wasn't confused by the point.

Rodney didn't think twice about thinking John raped the young woman, as you said. He calculated 2+2=5 without a second thought. His reactions and diatribe backed up my thoughts that he thinks John sleeps around like crazy...(yes off camera I think John isn't a priest but not to the degree indicated here) but my biggest issue is even after Rodney sees that John was drugged and told his team was killed.

The story ended with:

“Rodney?”

“Yeah?”

“Do...did you really believe I was capable of raping her?”

There was a hesitation that only someone who knew Rodney very well would have noticed.

“I didn’t want to, John.” This still feels like aRodney who doesn't really believe John and that's what I found to be too OCC for my taste

I agree this fic isn't everyone's cup of tea. I think nearly everyone would say Rodney is OOC, myself included.

My fics have become a sort of barometer of how well I'm feeling because I have Crohn's Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Multiple Sclerosis. I probably wrote the first draft from a hospital bed - I had Rodney darkly OOC and whumped on John instead of getting pissy with my nurses, which worked.

I f-listed you so you can read entries with tags ranging from "please kill me now", and "health & medical", to "i can't make this shit up", if you're interested in how I try to not take any of it too seriously. (I'm over the "Why me?" and on to "...and then the tech put electrodes all over my head, had me stare at a dot on a computer screen while the background flashed a checkerboard pattern, trying to make me have a seizure. Won't that be fun."
