SGA and SG-1 Commentary

I know I'm not the first and won't be the last. Ya know what? I don't care, so here we go. I'm re-watching both episodes on the DVR now that I'm over the initial *squee!* factor.

SG-1 - The Pegasus Project )

Heh. They like to do these little things to show they're different from Farscape, IMO.

All SG-1 needs is Francesca Bueller to play a villan, and the StarScape circle will be complete.

The Pegasus Project was so a Atlantis episode pretending to be an SG1 episode. :) But it couldn't fool us.

I can't wait for the DVD commentaries on Irrestible, it'll be such fun.

The one thing that has me irked the more I think about it is how Rodney became a bastard again when was in the same galaxy as SG-1 (specifically Sam). It seemed SG-1 interpreted the usual banter between John and Rodney as John barely tolerating(?) Rodney, especially after the lemon bit. It was funny, but mean.

I know that the Atlantis cast were all guests, and to paraphrase David Hewlett, the role of the guests are to make the regulars look good. But damn, the writers seemed a little brutal.

I think I saw the whole lemon thing as a humor thing more then most people. And I didn't think Rodney was being unusually bastardish to Sam. *shrugs* All intrepretation.

There's some complex equation involving the amount of sleep I've had and the amount of caffiene consumed, along with some other variables, that determine how funny or mean some of the scenes were. This equation also determines general bitchiness/likelyhood of a rant erupting, so my interpretation varies by quite a bit.

Time for some sleep, methinks.
