Yes, she's repairing (replacing, probably; the house was mostly demolished). He's helping.

By "drips," I think she means that a paintbrush would drip on her if she used it at that angle (a la Charleton Heston in The Agony and the Ecstasy).

As for missing my writing, I've done four drabbles in eight days! (Five, if you count the one that's locked -- would you like to join the "Original Fiction" list (see my posting of Aug. 28th) and read it, by the way?) But I'm grateful for the sentiment. It means a lot to me that you like the writing.
