Total brilliance: a trailer for a Star Trek TNG porn movie. Which has a real plot that seems fascinating, and no actual sex in the trailer. It *does* have excellent costumes, actors who actually look a lot like the ST:TNG actors, and a lot of attention to detail that can only mean everyone involved is a fan

Sort of! Sorry to butt in, but it's actually considered one of the most expensive porn movies to date. I kind of wish I knew where to find it.

Wil Wheaton posted the trailer on his blog, too! It was pretty funny how everyone kept posting that this was one they'd fast-forward through the porn to watch, as what they were interested in was the plot. I was also amused to notice nobody commented on the fact that there does not appear to be a Wesley Crusher counterpart in the parody. Very well-mannered fans on his blog!

God, I love Wil Wheaton. How awesome! :-) And yes, very well-mannered fans indceed... as well as a good choice on the part of the porn makers. I'd say Wesley Crusher porn is something for a very small and highly specialized group of Gary-Stu-philiacs. Not commercially viable. ;-)

Sorry for the double-comment, but... did you check out www.AXXXPARODY.com , their site? THEY HAVE AN X-RATED X-FILES PARODY! (They went with "SeX-Files" as the pun, I might have gone with XXX-Files, myself.) I kinda really want it. Does that make me a bad person?

I've heard about the XF parody, but sadly, the consensus seems to be that it's not very good, despite a lot of attention to canon detail. Bad actors, boring and random sex scenes pretty much the usual porn boredom, sounds like.

For porn, I'd really say an ensemble cast with many different canon-ish pairings works best to avoid the "random sex without emotional involvement" problem... and the TNG plot really does sound good.

If I were a porn director, I wouldn't try to go mainstream with XF porn. XF would do better as a niche film for kinky people who like tentacles and slime monsters, stuff like that. ;-)

That said, if I should ever astumble across the SeX-Files, I'd definitely give it a try, too.

For wanting XF porn? Hm, I'm going to go with "no" here. :-)

Yes, isn't it amazing? There not only IS a plot, but it actually sounds interesting! The sex scenes even seem to be non-random and between people who actually have (gasp!) relationships of some kind with each other!
