It is a weighty, age-old question: If your OTP characters are in different parts of a grocery store but have visual contact, can A convey to B - without shouting - that A wants B to pick up some broccoli

Ryo wouldn't be caught dead as broccoli. Or any vegetable, for that matter. Not even the very dignified avocado. Good thing he has a cell phone, and knows what to do with it. ;-)

I had to eat some myself after writing this! Fortunately I had some in the fridge already and didn't have to pass any communication tests first.

Why broccoli... that's a good question! I think it was just the first vegetable that whoever first came up with this test thought of. It could have been cauliflower just as well, or zuchini, or tomatoes, really. *g*
