I don't know who Joe Mallozzi is, and it sounds like this is a good thing. :-) Don't tell me, I'd rather not know! I do have some hopes for Dark Matter at this point, and will just see where it goes...
Yeah, there are a lot of new shows to watch... I haven't gotten to everything yet, and will have to do a second first ep post at some point. *g*
(Unfortunately, Dark Matter sounds the most interesting, and I really don't want to touch anything involving Joe Mallozzi ever again. *sighs*)
Hee. I was so happy to finally, finally have a Sci-fi show again because at least in terms of shows set in outer space we haven`t gotten anything in years, and then I read that Mallozzi was doing it. I would think he scorched the Earth in terms of Sci-fi but maybe people are like me, desperate for anything.
So far, I found it interesting enough. The amnesia plot holds it together so far but I`m not sure how long that can work.
Still would welcome some Sci-Fi that is all about the swashbuckling fun and adventure. Why does noone do this anymore?
Dark Matter does look promising! I can't say it's surprised me so far, and I doubt it will, but that's okay; I don't expect it to be great, but a nice scifi show will do me fine at this point. :-)
Killjoys is lacking something in the first ep, but it may recover later on. I am going to watch a few more eps in the hopes it will, anyway. I do find the premise potentially interesting, but somehow the execution is very lackluster and paint-by-numbers so far.
das hat 'ne Serie? Wow. Ich hab vor einigen Jahren oder so das Buch aufgegabelt, und ... es klingt ja eigentlich nach was, was für mich sein sollte. Aber, na ja, ich les selten ein Buch nicht fertig, aber das hat mich eingeschläfert. So vorhersehbar...
Dann haben sie das Buch erstaunlich präzise in die Serie umgesetzt! Ich finde auch, dass sich das Konzept wie etwas anhört, was mich ansprechen müsste. Aber gestern habe ich mir endlich Folge 2 angesehen, und... liebe Zeit. Die Umsetzung schafft es wirklich, dass ich mich für gar nichts interessiere.
Ich habe es auf die Kafka-Atmosphäre zurückgeführt; es ist einfach klar, was passiert, die Hintergründe sind unwichtig, und Charaktere und Umgebung bleiben sämtlich grau und depressiv flach.
Schon sehr gut gemacht, um diesen Effekt zu erzielen. Ich finde diesen Effekt (und in Folge die Serie) nur leider lähmend uninteressant.
