FH: What kind of things do you write?

Me (accurate yet sneakily evasive): Fantasy, mostly.

FH: Not gruesome horror, or bloody crime?

Me: ...gruesome horror?

FH: It's just that you look so virtuous / well-behaved / upright.

I've familiar with having to be sneakily evasive when I describe what I write.

People always think the quiet ones/quiet looking ones are up to something. And we usually are. ;)

Yep, it's always the harmless-looking ones you have to be most careful of. *g* Usually people don't suspect anything around me, though, at least not until they know me quite a bit better! ;-)
