Ooooh, excellent! You have captured MZB's style here, and of course, this represents a favorite character and subject for me. I'm especially taken by Celebrimbor's tapping into his knowledge gained from Curufin on the utility of grey. Seems to represent a step of healing to come between the son and the father. Also emphasizes that Curufin was not All Bad, All the Time (but then you know that I tend to see the bad guys as nuanced ;^)).

I love it! Definitely put it up on the SWG and I'll get a detailed review up there. Thank you very much, Rhapsy! This is a wonderful gift of a story.

Well, I don't think Curufin was that holy, nor was Celegorm (soon I let him slide off to his darkest nature in one of my stories) an Celebrimbor had reason to shut him out, yet at the same time it feels to me that to shut himself off to such a nature, he also overlooked Sauron's intention. Perhaps he wanted so much to believe that this was a new age and smiths (or craftsmens) did not had any ill intent towards they creations. I do not believe in strict good or evil, those characters who are grey are so interesting to explore.

As I told you, I am so relieved that you liked it and i posted it to the SWG after you commented here (with some iny tiny writing technical tweaks though ;)) {{{hugs}}}

Moreover, you have seen that black absorbs light into itself, and white reflects lights and augments it; however grey does neither, it merely permits the true quality of the light to be seen as it is.”

Oooooh - smiles happily :D A beautiful, bardic description of grey-body radiation! Which is not (of course) wave-length dependant... *Glomps*

And the voice is very MZB - especially the formal ritual and the inheritance from the ancestors!
