Supposedly I have 15 days left before closing, and Wells Fargo is now demanding more information from me. And here we haven't even gotten all the HUD repair quotes in yet, among other things. *sigh

We had to set up homeowner's insurance before we closed on our house, but I believe that was so it could be included in our escrow account. You should be able to ask your loan officer; get quotes from different companies and then when you decide on one you can coordinate with your loan officer to establish an account. (Obviously they won't open one if for some reason you never close on the house.)
