Whee! I'm happy too :3

I've got such high hopes for Barak Obama, and what he can do for our country after 8 years of President Bush and failed, misguided, or downright illegal Republican policy.

And yeah, I'd say the biggest reason McCain lost was the (violently) sudden shift of the issues from the twin wars in the middle east to the economy. That and he started giving mixed signals by talking about needing experience and then choosing Sarah Palin as his running mate. Also, it might be that his negative campaign style had a negative impact on his image...I know it did in my case.

I almost feel sorry for Obama though. Our nation is so fucked up, and now he has to try and fix it. Not an enviable position, to say the least.

I rule some of those shifts on issues that McCain had on the RNC telling him what to do, and not letting him be himself. It was bad that McCain had to change his positions all over the place. But yes, there were other issues, but yes, lots of small and not so large problems all over turned it into a loss by a thousand paper cuts.

Yeah, the country is pretty bad off right now, but hopefully things can only get better from here on, and not worst.

PS: It took all of 30 seconds for Rush to prove my prediction right. I love being able to predict the future. :)
