What's that phrase? "All assistance short of actual help"? It doesn't apply to everyone involved here, to be sure, judging by the full text of the article. And yet, the annoyance at the "waitaminit, we committed to WHAT?" reaction rises like my gorge in recent weeks to scarier headlines.
