Sobeys is facing further competition here in Saskatchewan with the arrival of Save-On-Foods. They've opened a store in Regina, and will be opening at least one store in Saskatoon's new Brighton neighbourhood sometime in 2017, with rumours they may build another store on the site of the old Cumberland Square mall Safeway. Besides their 4 Sobeys stores Sobeys continues to operate 5 Safeway branded stores in Saskatoon.
