The recent decision of the Canadian government to require visa of visitors from Mexico and the Czech Republic, on the grounds that these countries produce too many refugees, has not be welcomed at all by the Czechs and Mexicans.

If Gypsies are unwelcome everywhere, perhaps something more than prejudice lies behind that. Canada's not a melting pot, but rather a mosaic? Ah. Where in that mosaic, then, do Czech Gypsies fit? Does Canada want to become a nation into which Czech Gypsies -- as they are, as they in Czechia were -- indeed can fit?
