Maybe it's just me, but I always had trouble with the notion of being "out of date" in one's musical tastes. I don't understand this drive to be listening to music that has been released just recently... good music is good music, whether it was written last week or last century!

Of course you're not out of date! It's what you like! And everyone has different music styles, whether it's pop and country, or good ol' Rock 'n Roll! Or that other music -- the one that I'm not a huge fan of -- hip hop. And stuff. But other people like it; like your roomate! And my cousin.
