oh she must be one of THOSE women. the ones who fancy themselves superwomen ("i'm a wife and mother and homemaker and successful career scientist and i volunteer for a soup kitchen and shit gold bullion!") and can't fathom why anyone would CHOOSE not to live their lives the same way. "what do you mean, you don't want to have kids?" these women ask. "kids are the most wonderful, joyous, fulfilling part of your life! kids make life worth living! YOU WILL BE LONELY AND HELPLESS AND HATE YOURSELF IF YOU DON'T HAVE KIDS!" they say, as if trying to convince themselves that squirting out their own hellions was a good idea. alternately she's one of those women who was unable to have kids for whatever reason and still can't fathom why anyone would choose not to. fadedelegance posted an article a little while ago about how more women were choosing to be childfree, and the comments were FULL of that kind of bullshit. swarms of parents going "what is wrong with you?! be like us! it's awesome, we swear!" guh.

AAAAAAAAAAAGH I hate that. Everything in you comment is everything that I hate. I mean...I work with kids all day. That's all I want to do, too. Maybe I'll get married one day (I'm OK if I don't, though), but I sure as fuck won't want some of my own. What the point of stressing yourself out with 18 kids instead of just 17 for 8-10 hours a day is beyond me. EHRPWUERHFJKLNWERDGP(*&#W4yrfuiew

Motherhood, I think, is a fucking full time job until the kid's twelve or fifteen, I think. I guess I have the German mindset about it, I think.
