I'll admit it: I am incredibly biased when it comes to shoulders to hips ratios (which leads to thighs in general). That's just the first thing that I look at, and I feel kind of bad about that. I know that people come in all shapes and sizes, but...sorry. That's something that has to look right

ugh, i know what you mean. i've always thought women were fairly easy to draw because we're all curves, and how can you fuck up curves? it's honestly like some of these people are TRYING to draw women all bony and stiff and gangly.

I like drawing hips on women, and have quite a bit of difficulty drawing men because they're so straight. Well, straight as far as body shape goes. 8D /bad joke

Me, too, on both counts. Honestly, I sneak some rounding to the hips on guys when I'm being evil. Or drawing crossdressers.

It aggravates me when people try to make Chibi Usa look older than a 9 year old. Given it's cannon for her story that she's over 900 but jeez don't make her look like she has the figure of an 18 year old who is extremely short. Gah even they do this with the official artwork :X! Dang I want to draw SM fanart now, thanks D:!

That's more than a little disturbing when they do that. It's kind of why I didn't get very far into Demashitaa! PPGZ. The transformation sequences kinda squicked me.

Well I've read on the dreaded TV tropes and another site, the reason that they give little girls more "mature" bodies after their transformation sequence is this, the transformation is supposed to be representative of girls going through puberty. But yeah, some go overboard with this.

lol i think all of your shock was encapsulated in that one flabbergasted word. lol it reminds me of how i used to critique my friend's artwork. we were going through old dA comments one day and he's like "omg wow you were a BITCH!" lawl.
