FINALLY went to the dentist after I've needed to since SUMMER.
I have to have a root canal, now.
Goddammit.

Paying for it is scarier than the actual event, actually. Mom's insurance is stupid and we have to pay in full when services are rendered. :( :( :(

whine whine whine, just life

that IS stupid insurance. D: i avoid the dentist partly because i don't like paying for it, and partly because i hate all the "tsk tsk" lectures about how i don't take care of my teeth. i know i fucking don't take care of my teeth, i'm not paying you to tell me i don't take care of them, i'm paying you to fucking FIX THEM.

Really stupid :( Man.

I'm at least paying for half. I'm glad I get paid on Friday and I already paid my credit card bill for this month. I'm sure I'd be screwed.

ironic google ad is ironic... looking at the email notification of your reply in gmail, the ad at the top says "dental whitening for $7 - DontPayForWhiteTeeth.com". well $7 would still be paying for it, wouldn't it? XD

Root canals aren't that bad. At least, not when you're tooth has been infected and the infection has already killed the nerves. If that's the case, then you won't feel a damn thing.

I'd rather go through that again than have my wisdom teeth out.

It's not the procedure that worries me as much as paying for it. It's over $1000 upfront.

Isn't insurance great? When I got my wisdom teeth out, the insurance would cover the actual extraction, but not the anesthesia. Which was stupid, because it was billed as one procedure and they had to cover it. My dad yelled at some people for a while and it eventually got fixed. They also liked to kick me off every year after I turned 18 without asking me if I was still a student. I had to jump through hoops to get them to cover the stuff that they were supposed to do. God, I hate insurance companies.
