Fresh blood is good. Conversations with strangers are good

Most true. I'm sorry I didn't get to chat with you more, because you're right about the fresh blood part.

We were in front of the Double Tree to the right of the main entrance(facing the parade route) and moved to the corner as the day went on, with hourly runs into Sotto Varalli for booze, warmth and privy breaks.

I'll do a full write up later, but yes on the heart attack. Channel 17 (and Southwest Air) had the upstairs of Sotto for their VIP event and had all the live feeds going on the screens. I should be getting the full days' on air coverage if you want to borrow it sometime.

Did you go to the String Band & Fancy Brigade inside compitition? If you didn't, you didn't ge a real feel for the string bands since they didn't preform along the parade route. Alot of people were grumbly about that and the tourists at the hotel felt ripped off.

I parked the car at Broad & Christian at 10AM and walked to City Hall by the judges' bleachers. I hung around for about 2 hours and then walked back.

Jimi's a guy who manages a goth event, and who used to open up Ulana's for us on Saturday afternoons when we did a monthly sorta-murder-mystery-game.

One friend commented that, knowing him, he may have actually legally changed his last name to Black.

He's made out of stone. Once upon a time he opened up for us a few days after he'd had a stroke.
