I have yet to partake in any of the other shows you mention (besides Merlin that is) but Hawaii Five-0! You watch it! Augh my god I love that stupid stupid show! Everyone IS pretty! Two of my favorite Korean actors are in it! I LOVE GRACE PARK. Scott Caan! From the Ocean's movies! This show! So stupid but shiny! ♥

OH DUH. He is one half the Malloy brothers from Ocean's. THANK YOU. I was trying to figure out why he looked so familiar the entire episode. His tragic doucheface worked well in those movies for his character, so the context of him being actually competent in this was throwing me off, lol.

I will give it another couple of episodes for sure. I'm not totally hooked or anything, but PRETTY, PRETTY PEOPLE can be a very convincing argument. :)

Competent, unapologetic douchebags are sort of bulletproof for me, so I did remember him, even though I've only seen Ocean's Twelve once. Haha. XD I really like Danno though, I think Scott Caan was a good cast.

I'm a tad peeved at the ethnicity fail in the casting yet again (Koreans are not Hawaiians. How hard is it to get Hawaiian actors for the roles? Just sayin'.) and I thought Daniel Dae Kim was going to be main character dude's partner for some odd reason and I was all excited.

But, despite some disappointment on my part, it's still stupidly, stupidly pretty. And Daniel Dae Kim didn't even have to move after finishing Lost! I bet he lives in Hawaii now.

Hey now, I'm sure there are ABSOLUTELY NO QUALIFIED HAWAIIAN ACTORS IN ALL OF HAWAII. Much like how there are NO ASIAN CHILD ACTORS WHO KNOW ENOUGH MARTIAL ARTS TO BE IN AVATAR. Yes.

Still. Grace Park and Daniel Dae Kim. I wouldn't pass that up.

Yay! You're watching Love Shuffle! That show was so underrated everywhere, but I loved it to death. I totally agree with your thoughts about Kiku-rin. Japan has been known to be less than open-minded about sexuality, but I can't say America handles that stuff much better on TV anyway.

I would say there are probably two things keeping me from jumping on Team Morgana. One is that Colin Morgan is just too damn cute and Merlin is such a do-gooder. Second is that Morgana has to have a "I'm so evil" smile in nearly every scene now and that's getting a little cheesey.

Yes! Love Shuffle! It's good stuff. I'm enjoying it. :D

And agreed, America isn't much better at handling TEH GAY on TV. I just found the conversation between Kiku-rin and Ai-ai very strange when he says "I'm bi" and she's all "Well that's reassuring that you don't like women!"

Colin Morgan is too damn cute. That's the entire debacle. One minute I'm all "MERLIN, D'AWWWW" and the next he up and kills someone without giving it a second thought, which harshes on my D'AWWW vibe. Which tends to come back when he gives Arthur some dopey grin.

Evil Morgana is getting fairly cheesy too, yes. But it's Merlin. Everything is cheesy all the time. Wouldn't be Merlin without. :)

I do rather like Scott Caan in Hawaii Five-O. He was the only actor in it that I wasn't familiar with from other TV-series. He does seem to have a fairly strong resemblance to his father, actor James Caan.

I didn't much care for Rizzoli and Isles. I watched the first few episodes. Isles seemed to me to be too much of a clone of Temperance Brennan from "Bones"(I like the character on Bones better). I didn't care for Rizzoli's family. I liked the plotline they started with Donnie Wahlberg but that actor left to go do the new CBS series Blue Bloods (I did enjoy the first episode of Blue Bloods btw).

Another show you might want to check out is Detroit 1-8-7. I've seen the first two episodes and so far it has been pretty good. It's more similar to NYPD Blue rather than CSI.

I've been told the same, that R&I is very reminiscent of Bones, but I am somewhat of a blank slate seeing as I haven't really watched any. But there's no giant turtle in Bones. Unless I've been gravely misinformed.

There is no giant turtle but there is David Boreanaz. jk I was actually quite surprized by his ability to make a clean break from Angel. I associate him more as Agent Booth nowadays. He and Emily Deschanel have very good chemistry together ( ... )

lolol - I've been watching Rizzoli and isles since the start but didn't think you'd be interested (he's a tortoise! He provides companionship!)

On the femslashtastic front have I told you why you should give Lost Girl a chance?

Are you kidding me? Did you see the image I used for jarlsberg71's Epicuricon badge? That was my tipping point.

I don't think you've mentioned Lost Girl to me before. Pimp away!

Lost Girl: bi succubus who makes out with women and men on screen - *Need I Say More?* It's really pretty terribly cheesy, but I don't care. Did I mention the equal opportunity kissing? and the basic relationship unit is between two women - it's Xena 2.0 - or maybe Highlander: Raven was 2.0 and this is 3.0 :)

I enjoyed Rizzoli and Isles this summer. It was a fun show. An you're right, the slashiness of those two is off the charts. The slashiest buddy-cops since Tango & Cash, probably.

I will have to give Outsourced a try, based on your response. I was initially hesitant because I heard it was *really* racist.

I've heard R&I got renewed for a second season. Although it was a rumor on the internets, so I can't validate that really.

As for Outsourced, it's not entirely progressive or anything, but I didn't find it outright offensive either. So, happy middle ground?
