Heh. I miss playing Magic, but the investment wasn't returning the money's worth in entertainment value any more after about Visions for me, so I got out while I could. Partly because my regular playing groups fell apart, and partly because I started having significantly less pocket money. Still, I enjoyed it while it lasted, and I wound up selling my cards a few years later to one of my old opponents for rent money.
I was actually just coming across a Magic reference yesterday, when I was looking up the origin of the term "Juggernaut." Evidently the good ol' Juggs made its way back into rotation last year, eh? Wicked. I always loved him.
I quit buying packs and boxes after the Urza series. But I had been playing real heavy since Beta, around when I was eight years old. Nowadays, all my friends just draw from my card pool to build their decks, as my collection is WAY larger than everyone else's (around 12,000 cards). It's the main way that Kasey and I have fun together at home. Playing fucking Magic. Nerds4life.
And yeah, Jugg came back in like 2 blocks back. They reprinted a good bit of stuff, Jugg, Icy Manipulator, Clone, Ernhamn Djinn. All kinds of niceness. Total fucked the value of my Arabian Knights Ernhams.
Well it's great to hear that you won yet another tournament. Be ready in two weeks (you know for what!)...Can't wait!!!! And Kasey should really come! She probably needs a break. I've been seeing you, but no Kasey. It's her time to play.
