I went to the David Nicholls book signing today ! I had never been to a book signing before so this was really special to me. There's something strange about meeting someone you've read and truly enjoyed a book by. I don't know if that makes any sense ! But he was really kind and friendly. He seems to me as a very humble person. He read from the ( Read more... )

Thank you Dear ! You know, you are absolutely right : it's so rare to be in a place where everyone smile at you and make nice comments, etc. That's one of the main reasons why I had such a great time ! I don't know if it has anything to do with it but everyone was pretty much British there ! ;)

To be fair to Marcus, I was the one to blame ! I learnt how to spell my name correctly ! J is pronounced G in French and vice and versa.
Thanks, I had a great time :) I think you've already been to book signings (Jhumpa Lahiri if I'm correct ?) ? It's really fun !

I thought of you that night because you are one of the main reasons why I read the book ! I'm sure you would have loved him. It was impossible not to. He's so sweet and shy. :)
Thanks :)

This sounds so great Morgane! We very rarely have book signings by anyone interesting in Ireland! Though I think Stephenie Meyer may have come to Dublin for 'Breaking Dawn'. The only famous writers I've met are poets, Seamus Heaney and Paul Muldoon - so I would love to meet a novellist!

I'm just about to go swimming but have so many things to write to you about. I finished 'Special Topics in Calamity Physics'!! And of course, TVD analysis too;)

This was really brilliant ! It'll remain a great memory. We don't have a lot of famous authors around here either so I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw his name on the website !
Seamus Heaney ! It's huge, Maeve ! :) (I'm sure the S. Meyer event was really crowded ! so you probably didn't miss a lot)

Oh yay ! I really hope you liked it!! Especially the last chapters. I thought they were really good.
TVD! I almost forgot we were Thursday already !
I hope you had a good, relaxing swim !
