I know I've been away for a while (almost two months) and even though I still read my friends page very frequently I really miss writing here. For example, everytime I finish a good book I think "I'd like to share this with people who haven't read it yet". I realised that most books I read are books that were recommended by friends or fellow ( Read more... )

I'm so excited that you've bought Runaway! I haven't read that one yet. I'm really glad you enjoyed reading her. I was raving about her yesterday to someone I work with, I think I might have gone from mere enthusiast to fangirl in about five seconds flat. I hope I didn't scare my coworker away :o) (which edition of The View from Castle Rock do you own, out of curiosity?)

Pet Sounds, good taste! It's not on that album, but one of my fav Beach Boys tunes is "Feel Flows." Check it out :o)

I ought to post more often too. It's fun always having comments to read and reply to!

I'm so very excited too ! Ahah this is funny :) I think you have all the rights to turn into a fangirl when it comes to Alice Munro. (Out of curiosity : do your co-workers read a lot too ? My coworkers vary; some are really lovely and read as much as me, some I wonder if they even do read :o) I actually don't own The View from Castle Rock--shocking, I know. I borrowed this edition from the library when I read it. Clothilde owns the one in your original post, though :o)

PS, I have grown to love Pete Campbell as a character! I remember despising him first season, but now he's utterly fascinating. The show is so well made & excellently acted, even the unlikable characters are interesting to watch.
