Andy Bernard does not lose contests, he wins them or he quits them because they're unfair

- We're going to visit the Lucian Freud exhibition tomorrow. I'm really excited !
- I found the Facebook of that Teaching assistant I have a (big) crush on. There's only the profile picture available to me, though. I was glad to show my sisters and mother who I've been raving about for weeks.
- I finished the second book of the Hunger Games series ( Read more... )

books, my shallowness has no limits, rob, food, twilight

Lady Gaga just gets into your head and then doesn't leave! I was listening to "Teeth" on repeat earlier this week.

That pile is EPIC. Whoa. I would be overwhelmed, slightly. I've spread what I own from my List throughout my room so as not to be intimidated by it. Except for the school texts, those are stacked and waiting :o)

I've said it elsewhere, but almonds: delicious.

I love your framed copy of Nighthawks. I have a Hopper calendar, I'm actually looking forward to next week, because I won't allow myself to peek ahead and see what the painting is :o)

Also, I totally had a crush on the teaching assistant from my Virginia Woolf class at the beginning of the semester! It's subsided, but I still think he's handsome. Also, he's studying Virginia Woolf, what's not to like?

For a second I got scared because I thought you got scared by my pile and I thought "I'll never ever get through this pile" ! I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to me room so maybe I should just go with 4 piles instead of only 2 ? That'd look better ... maybe ?
There are books everywhere in your own ? I'm sure it's the best place.

I thought of you today while eating almonds !

I had a Hopper calendar last year ! It's exciting, isn't it ? I'm so impressed by your method. What's the painting for this month ?

"Also, he's studying Virginia Woolf, what's not to like?" Agreed.
Mine seems to be a specialist in Middle Ages history (I know Middle Ages are divided in several periods but don't ask me). I'm not particularly passionate about that subject but I would listen to him. Also, I really need to learn the chronology of all the French kings with their coronation and death dates because I realised my knowledge in that area is close to nul. I wish he were studying Virginia Woolf too.

Oh, I say keep them however you wish. They do look nice all piled up there :o)

March's painting is Ryder's House, from 1933.

I once knew the song that helped you remember all the kings and queens of Britain since William the Conqueror ("Willy, Willy, Harry, Steve; Harry, Dick, John, Harry Three..." etc). And in a pinch I could just about get all the US presidents out in one go. I always get a bit confused between Andrew Jackson and Abraham Lincoln, though.

Hello there sweetie !

I really love how you are excited about going to exhibitions to visit the works of artists whom people aren't bothered to know about, if you know what I mean? If there's a new and small exhibition where an unknown artist's works are displayed, I'd be very excited like you because I love learning about other styles. Something we have in common ! :)

I am ashamed to say this - I haven't been reading novels in a long long time. The last time was last summer (I read On Beauty by Zadie Smith). I am more of a film guru than an avid reader although I'd love to go back to being an avid reader. Maybe this summer, I'll read many novels. You should be proud of yourself for having reading as a hobby.

New Moon came out very recently, and we're planning to watch it next weekend. I am not that interested in it, but my sister is crazy about Robert Pattinson, haha. Anyway, hope you have a lovely weekend !

See you around soon. XXXX

Hi !

Thanks ! That's sweet :) I wish you could visit this one then !

Don't be ashamed ! I don't see enough films and that's something I wish I could change too but sometimes you just don't have time ! I hope you'll find a good book soon !

I'd get on well with your sister :)

I really want to read 'Fallen', I've heard so many great reviews! I must add it to my amazon book list for this month:) I allow myself four books from amazon auctions every month as a treat. Recently it's been the Charlaine Harris 'True Blood' books I've been reading, have you ever given them a go?

Love the photos as always, the egg carton is so cute! A nice place to store jewellery, maybe?

I still haven't seen New Moon again even though it was released last week! Though I get paid tomorrow so I think a trip to HMV is in order! :) Are there any special features on it? I'm dying for more Eclipse info!! Did you check out that podcast I recommended?

I love your system for buying books ! I have not read the True Blood series but I bought the 1st book a while ago and when I started it, it was so close to the show that I decided to stop. What do you think ? Is it different ? Or close but still enjoyable ?
It's always hard to know what words to use when talking about YA novels but I know you know what I mean when I say Fallen was good. The author can really set a mood. It's a bit dark, very different from the cheerful mood you usually have in YA novels. I'm definitely going to read the second book of the series !

Thank you :) That's actually a great idea !

I hope you found the time to make that HMV trip ! I'm so stupid but I really loved seeing the film again. You have deleted scenes and a long making-of. I can't be honest : I just love anything Twilight-related.

I just check out the postcast finally. I wrote about it in another comment !
