5 things about this week in no particular order

1. A new old article about Salinger and the upcoming (maybe someday to be more accurate) publication of Hapworth 16, 1924. It's a great article. It was written on the occasion of his turning 90 (last January). I loved especially one part :

LOL Emily. You made me laugh. I have absolutely no idea who he is. There are always people trying to get in the pictures with them, that's funny to see. But yes, the harstyle... definitely !!!! lol

i remember reading about joyce maynard when i wrote one of my papers on the catcher in the rye last year. it was definitely for my analysis. but i definitely never caught on that he was that old, omg. so crazy.
