Today on Digg I read this article called What wouldn't you do in front of your spouse? and I couldn't help but go "!!!" at the part of the article that mentioned that it's apparently rude to blow your nose in front of someone else.

I think people who think you should go into the bathroom to blow your nose are overly fussy and have never lived in an agricultural area with lots of pollen and dust.

Then again, I think people who blow their nose and produce honking noises need to calm down. ;)

It couldn't hurt to say, "Sorry, I've gotta blow my nose," but I think it's wholly unnecessary to go to the bathroom for it. ;P

I do feel a bit odd blowing my nose in front of folks and will turn away if possible, but I don't consider it rude if other folks do it. I just think I look like a fool when I blow my nose and don't want to ... blow through the paper or anything. ;) So. I don't think it's rude, and I don't care if folks do it, I just feel a bit awkward blowing my nose directly in front of other folks. Turning is good for me, but I don't care what other folks do.
