Hit John for what he said to Sammy? I figure that since Sam is on his own (ie. no big brother) he's got some of Dean's quirks and hasn't been able to rebel like he does in canon. This chapter was sorta Sam's leaving for Stanford ... with a twist, I guess. And also, it's John disappearing and Dean not wanting to hunt on his own... *scratches head at logic* Or hit John because of Dean? Hm...

I do so love coming back to more then one update! Its grand! I apologize to Sam *pats his head* you said goodbye to dean! So you are only half an idiot! :) since you know you should never have left!!! lol So many more questions that must be answered! Can't wait for the next chapter!!

This is such a fantastic story, I've had track it so I know when you post a new chapter because I don't want to miss any of it.

Can I help you out on one little thing though? They exorcise demons not exercise them... just a different spelling, I know you know what you want to say there and most spell checks won't catch it for you.

Wow. You're quick with the update. I really like the image of Dean wearing Sam's belt. I cannot tell you enough how much I loved the belt thing. I'm probably over-analyzing it, but I imagine that there were some pretty mixed emotions going on when Dean decided on it.

Maybe Dean was being superstitious. If he wore the belt, then it might improve the chances of Sam stopping by? Or did he really believe that Sam was going to visit, and he wanted him to see it. Or in a fit of angst, did he decide that Sammy was leaving him for good and he just wanted something tangible around to remind him of Sam? And there is always the more pragmatic possibility that he just couldn't find his other belts. A combination of all of the above? *shrugs* I don't know, but I love it.

Anyway, I'm really quite enamored with what you've got going on. I hope your genfic goes well.

Yay for the belt!thing *claps hands* Yeah, likely a lot of mixed emotions going through Dean's head. I bet he did a lot of 'this is stupid, I'm wearing a different belt' ... and then picking it back up kinda thing as well. *huggles Dean*

Nice chapter.

Glad Sam went to see Dean before leaving, even if it didn't end the way he wanted.

The hunt with Gordon and John went reasonably well.

But in leaving John more information about his brother has come to light. When will Sam put the information together? Who's been tainted by a demon? Hope it's not Dean!!! Hope Sam goes straight back to Dean.

Looking forward to more.

Definitely Sam is going straight back to Dean!! A lot of Dean&Sam in the next chappie! Putting the information together is going to take some time because there are reasons why neither John and Sam are looking (ie. Dean is dead, supposedly) and there are also reasons why they believe that. But the connection will definitely be made. As for who has taken-in a demon ... no one ... yet. ;)
