I just read the very beginning of part one, and I was like, "hey... this sounds like Sleepers!" So I came back here and saw that it was in fact based on Sleepers! Now I am even more pumped to read this, I absolutely love that movie! :D

Hi! I just finished the PDF for this, and wanted to make my way back here to thank you for the enjoyable read.

I was a little worried throughout, that the boys wouldn't manage to find way back together...and got VERY worried towards the end! But I was smiling when the finish came (perhaps panting a little, as well), and am glad for that.

The graveside scene at the end was really touching, and the revelation that came was a shock...but one I found fitting.

Most of my day was spent reading this, the biggest break I took away was to take a call from a friend to chit-chat. She lives right outside Minneapolis. I found that most amusing, and thought I would share. *is a big dork*

Lol, well I felt like a dork telling my friends that I was so tired because I was up late walking through the streets of Minneapolis via Google Maps, so we can share the dork crown, yeah?

It's great to hear you liked it! This was a pretty intensely angsty theme for me (but I so loved writing it), but overall, yeah, I am a mushy romantic would cry into a hanky if the boys didn't end-up together, so even though I did actually consider ending this fic with four chapters (with chapter four's ending unchanged), I was also planning on writing the fifth chapter as a separate fic, as an addition to the verse. You have sonnygrl11 to thank for kicking my butt and reminding me that way back before a word was recorded, I estimated five parts, and that it worked just fine together, even given the time-leaps.

It's actually really good to hear you liked the graveside scene. I wrote it and stuck by it, but I also worried readers wouldn't respond to it so well, so whoot! (That's one, at least ^_-) So glad you enjoyed, and took the time to give

The film this story adapts is in fact Sleepers that starred Brad Pitt. In this version, however, Sam is in the Pitt role, and there is much change. I too am quite fond of Dumas! I await your initial opinions, and hope you enjoy!
