Though, the one part with the ghostie children dream? Chills down my freakin’ back and paranoia-look-over-the-shoulder moment. I watched Silent Hill the other day so yeah I’m all off my game from it. I totally know how Dean feels about the dreams, too. Totally.

The scene of Janice gettin’ her ass kicked and her neck bitten kinda didn’t help but I live for the thrill. The trick is, it started raining when I got around to that part. Huh.

It was a clever, interesting chapter. I was thinking about it, today too. Wonderin’ when you’d update :) I don’t mind waiting, though.

lol yeah so I kinda went a bit dark in this chapter. *shrugs* It'll happen again, too. *evil grin* I'm glad you enjoyed and that this helped take your mind off the evil thunder. Thunderstorms freak me out as well, especially if I'm on my own during them. I've never seen Silent Hill, but I freak-out ridiculously easily so that's probably a good thing. ^_^ Sorry for the delay!

Yay, update! As always, the dynamics between those two fascinate me in this verse. Gotta love the snark but the undercurrent of Dean's fears and Sam's worry made all the light-hearted bits not seem all that light, really. Dean's defense mechanisms are up full-blast, but I'm glad Sammy's there to take care of him even when Dean doesn't think he needs it. The dreams were pretty horrifying- I'm guessing they're Dean's memories of how he was taken from his family? It fits what I remember of the gruesome image you painted earlier in the story, of what John found back then and believed to be Dean...*shudders* Nasty.

But I refuse to believe Dean's hell on earth. Potential doesn't make the whole, in the end. And he's too pretty for that *is a shameless Dean fangirl* Looking forward to the next part, like every time I read a bit of this :)

Dean's dreams are a combination of his memories slowly returning and also glimpses into what's to come, obviously contorted slightly in that lovely what that dreams have. Obviously it's going to be explained in later chapters, something that the dreams are sort of laying a foundation for, I guess. I'm not 100% certain, but fairly sure that you'll get a more detailed account of what actually happened to a young Dean in future chapters. I will probably have to add an extra warning for those... but I can't stand too much angst or anything, so it shouldn't be too bad.

You're absolutely right that potential doesn't make the whole. And Dean himself isn't all that terrible. (I'm so a Dean fangirl. *joins the Dean!fangirl club and waves ridiculously large banner*) but he's really fun to torture and the best way to do that is threaten him with the potential to do really horrible things to people he cares about. And then to throw some random plot kinks at him. Clearly I need a hobby ... oh waitaminute, fanfiction is my hobby... ^_^;;;

The dreams aren't precisely what happened to him, but you're absolutely right, it is coming back to him. It's going to be a while yet, but it's definitely coming. *evil cackles*
