i just finished watching El Crimen Del Padre Amaro- The Crime of Father Amaro, with Gael Garcia Bernal. it was surprising. it was really great. the characters were rich and fascinating. it was disturbing and sad. i cried and cried. the padre natalio character was wonderful.
it got me thinking about the vow of celibacy required of the priesthood. )

Yeah, I don't understand why people in NY and NJ are so angry all the time... it can't be good for your blood pressure, surely!
*serenity now*!

gah! i'm not in love with nj myself.
despite it being my birthplace and where i grew up.

i think that's where i get my inherent meanness too.. from living in nj for 18 years

i know i don't knowknow you, but you don't seem inherently mean. new jersey has probably done to you what it's done to me.
i have become a misanthrope, and it makes me perpetually cranky and short-tempered with people. i never used to be though.
i think i've developed a tough skin. i am a walking callous, in fact.
if you lived off the east coast at some point you would shocked, i'm sure. :)
in a good way!
