Things are getting better . . . and I've even been to the movies!

Two weeks ago I found that things with my Dad's health, my sister's health, and our dog's mobility had improved enough for me to be willing and even eager to go out with Sis to see a movie (first film I've seen in a theater since watching a second-run showing of "Guardians of the Galaxy" with MissMurchison last Fall, as it turns out ( Read more... )

I'm so glad you were able to get out and see these two wonderful films. I'm right there with you on Kingsman. The only flaw in the whole movie was the one step too far into the crass that you mention. It was so utterly lovely in every other way it's really a shame.

Avengers 2 rang better for me than it is for many of my friends. Possibly because I see a lot of scenes with Black Widow differently than they do. So with you on the team acting like a team thing. The hammer scene was hilarious! I'm thoroughly convinced that Steve could lift the hammer and pretended he couldn't to spare Thor. I know he certainly looked worried when Steve pulled and it moved slightly. :)

It's great to hear you're enjoying yourself. And thanks again for dragging me to "Guardians of the Galaxy." I enjoyed it a lot. (Much better than the only other film I've seen in the theaters since, a very well-made Polish movie that gave me nightmares. Next time Mr. M wants to see something like that, I'm sitting in the lobby with a romance novel.)
