I was quite astonished at just how wonderful a comedic actress Amy Aker is. I mean, I knew she was extremely talented but comedy is it's own brand of hard. I thought the film was exceptional in the way motivation was given for things Shakespeare didn't bother giving motivation. I also thought it was brilliantly cast.

I was just talking with my sister about Amy Acker's performance along those same lines, how I'd never seen her do slapstick 'screwball'-type comedy before, even though she'd gotten to do some funny character bits as Fred on AtS. But she's wonderful at both the sharp-tongued wit AND the physical comedy! :)

Please forgive me for intruding like this, but I don't know any other way to ask you a question. You were the beta for a much loved story I've been reading, "Giselle" by green_amberjade over on Live Journal. That story has not had a new chapter posted in a couple of years and I was wondering if you know whether more of it has been posted another place where I can read it - or was it just left to hang?

Thanks for any info you can give me. I enjoy reading your comments on Firefly stuff where ever I read them.

No problem! All that's been posted of "Giselle" is here on LJ, so no, it hasn't been updated anywhere in quite a while, unfortunately (I want to find out what happens next, too!).

The author green_amberjade has had to put all her energy into RL stuff for the past two years, instead of her writing, but when last I communicated with her in May of this year she was still hoping to return to updating the story at some point in the not-too-distant future.

She still gets the comments you leave on her LJ posts, so go ahead and drop her an encouraging word, telling her how much you enjoy "Giselle", as it may help her to rediscover her muse, or at least provide encouragement when RL stuff is getting her down. :)
