Must be getting old

It's happening. I'm getting all responsible. Somebody please shoot me now, I'll be buying wallpaper instead of music next. OK, I've already done that at some point, but I thought it was just a twist in my sobriety, as Ms Tikaram would have it ( Read more... )

*growls at Steve* Seriously, how can he just--drop everything, leave you in the lurch and go overseas for an unspecified period of time and then expect you to welcome him with open arms when he comes back? IMHO, don't dance with him. He will ruin your dancing experience, AGAIN, and you were enjoying this class!

Yeah. He was always quite upfront about that you know, I always knew he was liable to disappear for unspecified amounts of time. What I didn't expect was how quickly I was going to outgrow him, if that makes any sense.

In truth I fully expect that once he sees what's expected of him at this class, he'll soon change his tune. And it's a public place, I can hardly get him barred! The setup is quite different from our local school, you have to dance with a different person every time, so I wouldn't be stuck with him all night, either. But you are right in what you say, and I am certainly not going to encourage him to keep on going.

Hee, sounds like a terribly organiz/sed marathon, indeed. The ones I have done have been small and homey. But at every mile they have an aid station with people in costume handing me food and drink, so I like it. (Although it didn't run this year, phooey.)

I know, it does, doesn't it? Terribly organisé, even. I think I like your small ones even better though, what with food/aid stations every mile. You can see where my priorities lie, LOL!

Am impressed by the marathon organisation. Not at all impressed by Steve though: dump him! Again!

I know. As I was saying to jamethiel_bane, I think that once he sees what he's actually supposed to do with this group he probably won't want to come back. I just felt a bit mean saying no outright, since it's an open class. It's not like I can keep him out of it. But yeah, if he starts talking about going back on a regular basis, I will have to put all my cards on the table once and for all.
