New dS vid - Learning to Fly

Mar 31, 2007 11:08

I made my very first vid as an offering for rat_jam.

If you like it, go and thank the lovely lipstickcat, and especially the ever-so-patient taverymate, who gave me such comprehensive feedback that if I knew where she lived I'd send her my weight in chocolate. If it's a load of pants, it's because I either couldn't or didn't follow their advice. Needless to say feedback of ( Read more... )

Hello! So good to hear from you again. I'm really happy you liked it; as soon as I dreamt up the Victoria section I had that scene in mind for that phrase, so it's nice to know someone else thinks it was a good idea. Thank you.

Hi. I wandered over here from your post at rat_jam and I'm so glad I did. The vid is wonderful. I was grinning like a loon throughout it, and I think that says it all. So thank you!

I enjoyed the vid. I was a little hesitant at first because of the F&V at the beginning, but it actually worked quite well to show the progression of Fraser's life as he lives in Chicago and finally meets RayK. Great job. Thanks for sharing.

What do you have against Ray Vecchio? grey853 March 14 2012, 14:20:35 UTC
Sorry, but you can't ignore the fact that RayV is very important to Fraser, and without him, Fraser wouldn't have been able to become a caring friend to Kowalski (and more than a friend, according to you; I don't think that way). Please acknowledge RayV's importance. There's no need to say that you hate him, even though I know from your writing and your posts that you do (and how sad for you! RayV is wonderful!).

i really enjoyed your vid!

I liked how you used "learning to fly" and "coming down" parts of the lyrics to show the ups and downs in Fraser's life.

My favorite part was the very beginning where Fraser makes his entrance. nifty timing!

Aww! Adorably sweet and kooky. I enjoyed it very much; you did a great job of portraying both Fraser's and RayK's loneliness and yearning, as well as the ending of wonderful SCHMOOP. Yay. I especially liked your clip choices, which were well-chosen and refreshingly original.

(And I had completely forgotten about that bit with Fraser and the tarp-as-paraglider. Ha!)

Thank you. I loves teh schmoop. It's my dirty little secret. Only I've just told you now, so you'll have to promise not to tell anyone else. *g*

I think I've found something I truly like doing, and I'm really looking forward to learn more.
