As a former military guy who is now quite happy in civilian life, I can reccomend it highly. There is a lot less fuck-tard-ism, and when there is you can usually route around the damage. You have (from what I can see) the temperment and intelligence to succeed in Civilian-land. We always need good teachers, and you can make a life of that. The biggest question is do you have lifer-juice in you? If you re-up right after a deployment, then you are meant to stay in the GArmy. That is serious commitment. My vote, get soft and slow in civilian life. Less incoming that way.

I've been flopping around on this for the whole of this time I've been activated (7 months now). When I'm off by myself I tend to agree that my life would be better without martial influence. Then I have a good group of friends here and I hate abandoning them...misplace overactive loyalty anyone? maybe *shrug* I've got a year to work it out either way. Well 45 weeks 2 days and a wake up.

Did you know my dad was a teacher before the Vietnam war? He enlisted into the Cambodian Navy as not to get killed by the Khmer Rouge. He always enjoyed teaching. He served as a mentor and tutor to many schlors. So teaching is a good thing...especially in this day and age. We went to Hunter Park today and jeremy pointed out the train carts you designed in high school. They are still in great shape. You go...arcitect. *hopes jeremy remembers right or he shall get kicked*

Oh yes...I need to take a pic of the kids new shoes. they picked their own psirs this time. Damian went for Vader and Darian picked out Yoda. So strange.

that sounds about right to me. Damian almost always roots for the bad guy. And he has alot of fun being carnotaurs, its just good old fashioned fun.

you have some misplaced-overactive-loyalty.

EVERYTIME i would have to serve my two weeks, i would be all: "damn, what was i thinking getting out of the active army?" (this was when i still actually HAD the choice to go back, mind you) then i would get back to regular life and be all: "ohhh".

and you're only considering the re-up anyways because you're not very immune to the re-up syrum they lace every consumable with.
