I really thought that this movie was excellent. Far more interesting than the first one. I actually didn't mind Scarlet Johansson and I really enjoyed her character. Mackie did the Falcon justice. I really, really, really enjoyed his portrayal. And I love the fact that Natasha and Falcon were integral parts of the movie as opposed to "I'm here to fulfill the quota of woman actress, minority actor, etc
( ... )
Yup, it was a pleasure to watch both Natasha and Falcon and know that they could have saved the day themselves, if given the chance. :)
Poor button dude! I was glad, too, that he didn't get offed in the resulting throwdown, although that was one of the few very confusing combat sequences in the whole thing and I had to work to understand who had the upper hand.
Hail, Hydra! Seriously, they should say, Hail, fellow jerks! Because that's what their end game seemed to be. ;p
Apparently, they should start saying that on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as well (hail, fellow jerks!), because their end game there is much the same as it was in the movie as far as I can tell.
(One of the fun things about the Wii game is that you can bust the screens with Zola's head on them to make him shut up -- and Zola's image in the movie looks exactly the same as it did in the game).
