It could be a hot of mess of "why did we spend the money on this?!"

Hey, Rocky Horror failed it's first run at the box office for precisely that reasoning.

I'ma go see it. Despite the aforementioned two strikes, Tony Head and the bag of beautiful crazy known as Sarah Brightman are big enough selling points for me.

Edit: okay, go to apple trailers and watch it in HD. OOOH.

True! That's also a point in its favor. And, yeah, I checked out the Apple trailer... I do like all the comic book art stuff.

Hee! Yes, and if ASH and Paris exist in the same universe, that means that Sarah Michelle Gellar and feminism do, too. ;)

Wow.

So, I have such an automatic "get me the hell away from here" reaction to everything related to the SAW movies, that it would be hard for me to convince myself to have anything to do with it for fear it would rape my brain in the same way.

But oh, Tony Head is JUST THAT GOOD at this kind of thing, and oh his singing voice is so gorgeous, and OH. I... want to go see it with someone to hide behind. Cuz wow. Just wow. It really depends on how they film the violence, but in this case maybe I can handle it. Or maybe it's going to be worth a Xanax? I dunno.

Yup, that's my reaction to the Saw movies, too. I've been trying not to think about them for a long time, so when I saw that tagline in the credits, it was a pretty big turn-off. But! Then I hear Tony's voice, and there's cool comic book-esque stuff and all kinds of neat music and I think... I could handle it! :D

I'll report on it for you if you want.

Yeah, I'm on board to see it, in the belief Anthony Stewart Head awesomeness alone could negate the other crap.
