Two and a half hours of dress peeping and trying on-ing. But my worst fear about bridesmaids dresses has been quelled. Heavy fabric hides pooches. ...No, not the small canines, although sometimes I wonder if that's really not what the problem is ( Read more... )

Can I have your ribs since you don't need them? :x

The first one. It's not exactly the nicest color, but it's the prettiest cut.

I like them in numerical order. Forgive my gross unfemininity by asking what sort of measurements they'll need. Bust, under-bust, waist and hips?

Bust measurement is around the fullest part of the bustline, making sure not to cinch them together with the tape.

Waist is around the narrowest part of the waist area.

Hip measurement is the fullest part of the hips making sure that the tape measure doesn't sag around your butt, kept level. This measurement on me (because of the shape of my body, is somewhere down around mid-arse.

It's usually best to have someone else do it so that you can be certain the tape isn't puckered anywhere.

Maybe Bin and I can go to David's Bridal and trick them into doing our measurements and look at corset-type stuff there.... hmmmm

I agree with genicon, I like them in numerical order. I didn't like 104 as much at first, but after sleeping on it, the beading and the waist is lovely. I am tempted to go out around here and try and find a store that might have that dress in stock so I could see it in person.

I shall respond to you email about said dresses with more questions :)

I was leaning towards 109 a little more, but the more I look at it, the less it camouflages. Even on the model (which is the same girl for each dress), she looks a little wider 'round the midsection in 109.

I think 104 will be the most flattering on all of us.

Also

David's Bridal has a dress that's almost exactly that. You and Robin might be able to go and actually try it on to be sure before we order.
