I've been having a lot of migraines lately. Like 1 or 2 a week, and it's been just awful. Each time, I pray that God would heal me, and I've had countless people pray for me to be healed, but it just hasn't happened. Until yesterday ( Read more... )

wow, Alice! that is so cool awesome! I love it when God does something so real, so tangible like that. it's almost hard to believe it at first. I'll be praying that you have no more migraines! :)

Sister prayers are the best kind. Especially coming from Sarah who knew JUST how you were feeling! I feel most at peace when we sisters pray together. I think of God as the operator listening in on the phone conversation when we are praying to Him.

I'm so glad that she was there to pray for you. I think I remember a time when she had a migraine and I prayed for her, and a similar thing happened. I'm not sure, I might have just imagined that, but I definitely remember praying for her migraines to be healed. I haven't talked to her about them for quite a while now. I'm going to pray for yours to be gone forever. The journey of NOT being healed is very difficult, eh? But I have to believe that God is doing SOMETHING in it. Something worthwhile, that is.

Ok, I know that you don't exactly have a spring break, and I know that I'll see you soon at Darcey's wedding, but I really think you need to take a vacation and come to stay with your Illinois sister! Maybe sometime this summer?

Yes, both Jeff and Monica have prayed and instantaneous healing took place, maybe not the whole of it, but a lot of it. God healed through Monica's prayer after I had had a headache for 6 days. And there ain't a whole lot better in life than that euphoric feeling post migraine hell. You could probably climb Mt. Everest or for sure fold 10 loads of laundry.

haha, mine must be a little different from your euphoric feeling...I usually feel more like sitting around and moving about very carefully because I feel euphoric, but also kind of fragile. Like if I'm not careful, the migraine could come back. So I usually take it pretty easy after a migraine.
