Also, Heraldry? I have a bit of a thing for it as well. I wish I could remember the name of the book that has my family tree's coat of arms in it, it was soo cool to see!!! (I later created one for my husband's family, so we could have a married coa, and created one for my 'clan' as well).

I just started A.C. Fox-Davies' Complete Guide to Heraldry. I keep having to stop to take notes, or send excited texts about the King of Arms position. My family history is farming, so we don't have a coat of arms. But if we did, I'd want it on my wall. Definitely cool that yours has one. (And I applaud you creating those others.)

I'm actually super excited over everything about heralds as a vital part of life and nobility. I always thought of it as a sort of lame job, but now I'm learning more of what the job entails, it's fascinating. And I'm world-building based on what I read because I would love to read some fantasy stories about the badass side of heralds.

The SCA College of Heralds has lots of articles on heraldry in the middle ages. Some of it is SCA specific, but a lot of it is about real-world heraldry.

I've known some very obsessed SCA heralds in my time :)
