I’m not particularly fond of Kerre Woodham at the best of times, but her latest article (which you can read here, if you're so inclined) is just too atrocious to be ignored. Which is a pity, because its topic - child abuse in New Zealand - is an important one. And I agree 100% that there is too much child abuse on our shores

She does do talk back, so what can we expect?

"All those mothers who have children because they get paid to - and, let's face it, they wouldn't get paid to do anything else."

So, being a mother isn't real work, and the fact that these women have no other options, is their fault, and not a signal that there is something rotten with society? Sigh.
