Well, he can be a pretty intense guy. From what he's told me, he didn't have any friends before he met all of you.

I guess I'm just saying... I'm glad he's had someone there to give him a chance. [He even scared Misaki the first time they met. If he hadn't gotten to see Kanji's kinder side, he might never have thought of him as anything more than a delinquent punk.]

It took awhile to get closer to him, and he put up the tough guy act for even longer than that, but... before I met the others, I didn't have any friends, either. And they accepted me, just like that.

I wasn't always this way-- and as an idol, people weren't too interested in getting to know me outside of that. Kanji and the others... were the first.
