A kid has gone missing? [He doesn't know Nanako, but he certainly doesn't like the idea of kids going missing. Especially since he's met so many children here that have become good friends.]

If her signal is gone, it could also just be that her PokeGear was disabled by a fall or something. What does she look like? Are you sure it was in Violet when you last saw her? Did you call the police to see if they'd seen her?

I thought about that, but there's usually one of us to keep an eye on her, we would've known. She's seven, and she wears a pink dress-- she's got brown hair in little pigtails, too, and trust me-- I know she was in Violet.

I don't know if you can trust her to have stayed in Violet, even if people were watching. A friend of mine woke up in Goldenrod recently, and that shouldn't have been possible since he last remembered being in Violet only a few days before.
