The Theory of Conceptual Justice

Feb 28, 2005 14:57

My brej, I come here today to share with you the Theory of Conceptual Justice, something I have been thinking about and developing of late. I feel my soon-to-be philosopher brej, ninja_sheep, will appreciate this theory, and may in fact have some philosophy to add to it ( Read more... )

I only somewhat scanned this, but judging by ninja_sheeps comment, I'm assuming this is you talking about people from Livejournal (more specifically, the CI2 community) by using fake names and a theory for it all. I kind of agree with some of what you're saying but I mostly stick to the philosophy that if you DONT LIKE IT, DONT READ IT ( ... )

Actually, it's not, entirely. It's me talking about life in general and online life in particular, without reference to any specific community/fandom as a whole. Note that I started with an example about the ideas of "femininity" and "masculinity", which I don't think you could relate back to the fandom even if you really stretched hard.

ninja_sheep's comments about Jalan were her own, not mine, and while I may agree with her philosophy on this subject, it has nothing really to do with the Theory of Conceptual Justice as I was speaking about it in my post.

DONT LIKE IT, DONT READ IT.Oh, I don't, for the most part, which is why this post really had nothing to do with that. I don't really get how you'd automatically conclude that this post had to do with the CI fandom, especially the slash fandom in particular, but I just want to point out that it isn't really about that at all ( ... )

im sorry i was going to delete my comment but realized you would get it anyway. i realized i did sort of jump to conclusions I was just sort of pissed at other things as well, sorry for being angsty and i realize thats not really what you were talking about at all... although i *did* read the whole thing before i posted it i just didn't edit that part out.

(one thing about bad writing and your comment is that instead of just aching over people who don't write well, why don't you offer constructive criticism to help them GET better? if it's what you do for a living than you could offer pointers to them on how to improve).

First of all, most fic writers get extremely pissy over criticism of any kind, and I have found this through several years of being involved in various fic communities. "Feedback" usually = "GUSH OVER MY STORY!!1one!" and anything else gets you labelled a troll.

Second of all, do you really think that if I went into someone's story on ci_slash, especially a Jalan story, and offered writing tips, that the person would take me seriously at all? They'd just be like, "Oh, it's one of those crazy Krock people trying to diss Jalan fic!" and be an Ignoring Ignorer about it.

THIS IS THE SPACE WHERE ZELLA SAID SHE DISLIKES MY ONLINE PERSONA, BUT LIKES MY THEORY. THEN SHE BECAME A COWARDLY COWARD AND DELETED HER POST.

That suits me just fine, though, because everything about zella and her stupidity is conceptually unjust, so she couldn't possibly appreciate my theory.

HAHAHAH! Why is she such a coward? Maybe she realised that she doesn't understand the theory after all. Or that it hit too close to home for her.

Also, I like how she keeps referring to your "online persona", like you're a totally different person offline.

She clearly didn't understand it to start with. And yeah, doesn't that remind you of a certain someone we know who's almost as stupid as zella?

Hahahaha. Yes, a certain someone who takes all this online stuff too seriously. Just as zella does.
