Whenever I write a longer story, I always find myself with one or two little tangent pieces. Ways the story could have gone, directions the characters might have taken, etc. Usually I tryr figure out a way to tie in a line/scene that I liked, but my Lilah/Fred piece seemed to have a mind of it's own.

Definitely not just you. :) For me, it's either quippy dialogu ethat just doesn't fit, or in an angsty piece, anything that's too obvious. I like subtle.

Angst is so hard sometimes, finding the right balance between just enough and feeling like you're screaming, "LOOK AT THEM HURT!" But if JJ and Joss can have issues, then I guess we can too.
