I'm curious as to what the reasoning is - are Miller, Larter, and Locke all unavailable? Or was it a from-the-get-go script thing (i.e., the film was too crowded with the introduction of all the new characters so they decided to "write" a few out)?
Ali's got some film that's shooting in Mexico (the title escapes me), but I didn't think that's started yet? But Spencer has already left to film her new movie (something about a beach).
What I don't understand, if it's an overcrowding issue, what is Anderson going to do in the supposed final film? At best he's only pushing the issue ahead a few years, unless of course he kills off a bunch of characters before then.
I know! I feel kinda bad for saying it given the awful Chris/Claire news, but, for me, whateverall can happen with RE5 now; aliens, mole people*, I don't care - I am complete! Shawn's coming back! :D
*: Not that this is an endorsement of anything that stupid. I'm just sayin'.
I understand the need to write out some of the old characters, especially if they're introducing a bunch of new ones. It may even be a salary issue - too many big-name actors taking up space and dollar signs perhaps? But if we have to sacrifice Ali and Wentworth to get Sienna back, I'm game. I was mostly worried they would pointlessly recast her. Shawn I could do without though, his Wesker was laughable and unnecessary.
