I'm going to take a different approach this time around, really dig around and search through the goods and come up with someone that wouldn't often be considered. You don't need another pretty boy, hecks no, so why not Bitores Mendez? I think he has distinguishing physical characteristics that you could appreciate in the opposite sex, he has a sturdy nearly invincible body that seems practically immune to pain, a classy shiny red glass eye, and most importantly for you I think is the fact that when he morphed into "monster" mode he had tentacle-like properties that sprouted from his back. *nods* Aside from me trying to sell his body to you, he also has some personality characteristics that I think would work well with what you require:
He's mature, violent and dominant. He also fits your hero or villain answer really well! He's known for his rather intimidating displays when he enters a room, though I wouldn't really say he takes himself too seriously...he just has a job to do and gets it done while being as scary as possible
( ... )
I'm actually going to echo araccoongirlie 's vote for this one. Billy Coen really does sound like a guy up your alley, mature and independent enough to not become a bother but wouldn't make you feel unwanted either. He's well aware that life might not always be perfect but willing to stick with it and you despite that.
You know I could see you with Kevin Ryman He's that perfect balance of nice guy, and down and dirty guy. He's a cop a sarcastic one at that so I could actually see the scenario of him laughing at your predicament, and since he already has a gun I'm sure he'd put you outta your misery if a cure couldn't be found XD.
Plus I believe Kevin actually comments on how nice things look at the University in the Desperate Times scenario instead of y'know worrying about dying XD.
I can see you with Billy Coen because he is rough around the edges and isn't afraid to say what's on his mind when need be; even if it's not the right time to do so. I can also see him poking fun at someone's troubles and then help look for a solution.
