God, I love you! Bravo for all that reasearch and putting it together coherently.

And I love that you've kinds confirmed on of the season arcs for me, bustin' John out of Hell.

I have no doubt at this point that John will totally get busted out of hell. Granted, they might opt to just have his spirit freed and put to rest, far from hell.

However.

They've way, way, WAY gone to the trouble of establishing a) natrual deaths cannot be undone while supernatural ones can; b) they aren't just grabbing the first cool sign they find and randomly using it for a striking visual; c) John never reveals all he knows, EVER; and e) the demon has repeatedly written off Sam as a threat even while Sam is clearly set to leave behind a certain part of his youth and vulnerability as he moves to the next stage of his Hero's Quest; and f) that Dean himself represents a pretty sexass version of the whole Mithras story.

I'm tellin' you, darlin', I have insane LOVE for the thought that's gone into this show.
