Confusion wasn't something he dealt with easily. In fact it wasn't exactly a common reaction for him and when it did happen he was pretty sure there was something in his blood that morning that might explain it. Everything could at least be explained in some way or another. This morning though he'd yet to have his blood and he was pretty sure it wasn't any sort of day he had circled in red... well that had been circled in an odd red sparkle gel pen. Those were the Danger Days as Harmony had named them and came down from a list of contracts that Eve had given her. When a client's contract wasn't renewed Angel always had to worry that something would happen to him. A parting gift of sorts.
This wasn't one of those days and yet there was his head of PR in what he presumed was a dress that would've made Cordelia melt into a puddle on the arm of Bruce Wayne. Full color spread too which was probably due to the event, but still it didn't exactly help with the confusion.
His brow furrowed a moment before he pushed the door to his office open and Harmony's face fell immediately upon sight.
"Oh! Uh... Uhmm... it's I swear I didn't do anything, and they're really going to clean it all up and it's-"
The paper slipped onto the counter of her receptionist area with near silence coming from him. Standing up Harmony twisted the article around and tipped her head, "Ooh she looks good in Yves Saint Laurent!"
Harmony's bright eyes returned to Angel's slightly upset and confused features and she pouted, "Sorry, but she does."
"That's Bruce Wayne."
Angel was pretty sure he heard Harmony sigh. Vampires don't need to breathe and there was a definite sound of exhalation coming from his receptionist. That and she was back to looking at the article.
"Harmony," his voice sounded sharp, not exactly upset but to the point and trying to get her attention back to reality all at once.
"Yes. Bruce Wayne. Wayne Enterprises, not a client of ours, and... Oh!"
The confusion look was starting to feel more like a permanent fixture in the conversation.
"You didn't know? I swear I have the issue of Ok! around here somewhere."
Shaking his head his fingers press up to his forehead, he's not that angry but just in case he's going to make sure he hasn't accidentally let it all slip from his visage. Thankfully all he has are worry lines that apparently come with the confusion face. Harmony was digging through drawers as his fingers slipped from his forehead to the bridge of his nose. Then she came back up from behind her desk all smiles and purple hair barrettes folding the glossy pages for Angel to take a glance at.
"That Peter guy? Whatever his deal was isn't anything compared to Bruce Wayne. I mean he's Bruce Wayne. Anyway, I guess she was with him and-"
"Engaged Harmony. Peter and Sasha were engaged, she does work here you know."
"Why do you think I got it in the first place? Anyway, so Bruce is like a friend, or so they say but then the engagement was off and she's living with him and there's like some girl too. I don't get them all the time. I mean I don't really need to go to the grocery store. Anyway, they're totally doing it at the very least. I would. It's Bruce Wayne. That's sort of like how half the girls here say the same about yo-"
Snapping his head around Harmony cut the sentence off a bit too late for his tastes. He wanted to take a deep breath, but really that wasn't anything that would've done anything at all except puff his chest out and give him some sort of placebo effect of breathing. Times like this he missed breathing. Times like these he wanted to just cut through the bullshit and call up Sasha and ask her the truth.
If he did that though, that would mean that he didn't trust her and to be perfectly honest she was one of the few people he actually did trust in that sort of situation. It just would've been easier to handle if Wayne was a client. Though the odds of that happening... well that was slim to none.
"It's okay Bossy -er Angel, it could've been worse."
"I'm the last to know Harmony, how is that not worse?"
Her eyebrows knit together as she looked at him incredulously, "Are you kidding? You could be that Peter guy."
